Karl G. premiered on February 23′ tomorrow will be beautiful‘, a new album that includes 17 songs and several collaborations with international music stars, such as Shakira with whom he presented ‘THQ‘. Additionally, he reunited for other issues with Romeo Santos, carla morisson, Dry, Sean-Paul and many more.

According to the singer from Antioquia, this musical project took her a year to work on, because it contains tracks that were created even before others that came out a long time ago and became a complete success, like this is the case with ‘Mamiii‘.

In interview with On the Radio, the “Bichota” assured that the lyrics of “TQG” were written a long time ago, but that she did not want to make them public, but rather intended to leave them only for their enjoyment. However, the opportunity to work with Shakira was given and things changed.

“It’s a song that I’ve had for over a year and a half and wasn’t going to be released. For this album I had 60 songs and it was hard to decide which ones were going to be included, and in the end it was was almost a lottery because I couldn’t make up my mind (…) I wrote ‘TQG’ the same day I wrote my verse for ‘Mamiii’ and even though I was going through a difficult time in my life, I didn’t want all my art to revolve around that. And although I loved the song, I said, ‘It’s very beautiful, it’s going to be an anthem for me, but I’m going to listen alone and occasionally with my friends in the car’ (. ..) That’s how it was going to be until I understood what Shakira was going through after her separation, because what matters to me in my songs is that they represent and identify women,” said Karol G.

“Working with Shakira has been an enriching experience and I learned a lot from her. My admiration runs deep,” said Karol G | Photos: Colprensa – Instagram

That’s when she took on the task of calling Shakira and offering to join her in this song, which sings about the process a woman goes through when she ends a relationship with someone who professed her love. eternal, but who betrays her for disorder. with another person

“It’s all very crazy because she’s a person I’ve looked up to all my life and to be able to call her and tell her I had a song she could relate to was amazing… She went through a very different process from mine, because while I wanted to keep it a secret, she wanted to expose it, and then she told me that she was going to close the cycle of ‘I congratulate you’, ‘Monotonía’ and ‘BZRP Music Session’ with this song, and I felt proud,” she added.

Karol G also said that there are a lot of songs he created that no one knows about, but for “Tomorrow it will be sunny” he chose what he considers an x-ray of his life.

“For a long time I wrote sad, dark and heartbreaking songs, but over time and as I healed, the way of writing changed, so I started doing rebellion songs and that got to me. pushed, as a woman, to go to extremes that I thought was right for me to make you happier, but I didn’t. Until I made love songs and healed the heart. It’s a very personal album , in which each song represents a bit of me and a specific moment in my life, and it scares me a little because I feel like I’m opening my heart to the world and exposing myself in a position that I don’t don’t know how positive it will be,” he said.

Regarding how she chose the set of artists that accompany her on her new album, the ‘Bichota’ explained:

“In my album, I have super versatile collaborations, which I dreamed of. I invited Romeo Santos to participate in X YES We are coming back, and it was an honor for me that he accepted the invitation. Like Shakira, Sean Paul, Quevedo, J Quiles, Bad Gyal, Carla Morrison, Angel Dior, Ovy, Maldy and Sech, all artists I look up to, appreciate and thank so much for adding their talent to my album.”
