The version of the “Justice League” known as the “Snyder cut” continues to take shape. Now, Vanity Fair published the first photos of the actor who will once again put himself in the shoes of one of the most iconic villains in the comics.
This Tuesday unveiled the first images of Jared Leto as the new Joker of the Justice League of Zack Snyder film to be broadcast exclusively on HBO MAX .
This version has become known as the “Snyder cut” , since it would be the film that the director wanted to film, but due to differences with Warner Bros. and the death of one of his daughters, he ended up leaving, and then handing over the leadership of the project to Joss Whedon.
Initially, in this fiction cut, only the original version released in theaters in 2017 would be restored and some scenes would be added, but while it was taking flight, more changes and budget were allocated to it.
This is how it was decided that Snyder could add more new elements to get closer to his initial idea that he could not carry out at first. One of them was the inclusion of the Clown Prince of Crime from Gotham City.
This is not the first time Leto has brought the Joker to life. In 2016 he was part of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad , starring Margot Robbie and Will Smith, but the characterization of the character was not to the liking of the public and was harshly questioned.
