“No matter how fast you are, no one can escape their past.”

After the events of The Fate of the Furious, Dominic Toretto, an outstanding car mechanic and street racer, will this time find his younger brother whose existence he had hidden for many years for reasons still unknown.

If flashbacks from his past will allow us to understand how he got there. Jakob Toretto is an assassin who works with his old nemesis Cipher (Charlize Theron). He has a grudge against the one who betrayed him and he intends to take revenge by making his loved ones suffer.

Despite the absence of Dwayne Johnson (Luke Hobbs) and Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw), the film will feature former cast members Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce), Chris “Ludacris” Bridges (Tej Parker), Jordana Brewster ( Mia Toretto), Nathalie Emmanuel (Ramsey) and Sung Kang (Han Lue), as well as Oscar winner Helen Mirren (Magdalene Shaw). Grammy-winning superstar Cardi B as new franchise character Leysa, a woman with a connection to Dom’s past, will also be present, as will Ozuna, the new Reggaeton sensation, who will make a cameo.

The second trailer for Fast and Furious 9

While the output of Fast and Furious 9 in cinemas is now scheduled for July 14, Universal Pictures unveils a final presentation of the feature film that once again pushes the limits with flying and magnetic cars:

Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) leads a quiet life away from the asphalt with Leticia ‘Letty’ Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) and her son, little Brian, but they know danger always lurks just above their peaceful horizon. This time, this threat will force Dom to face the sins of his past if he is to save those he loves most. His team reunites once again to stop a global plot led by the most gifted assassin and most successful pilot they’ve ever met … a man who happens to be Dom’s left-behind brother, Jakob (John Cena).

F & F9 sees the return of Justin Lin as director, who directed the third, fourth, fifth and sixth chapters of the series when it turned into a global blockbuster:

The film travels around the world, from London to Tokyo, from Central America to Edinburgh, from a secret bunker in Azerbaijan to the bustling streets of Tbilisi. Along the way, old friends will be resurrected, old enemies will return, history will be rewritten, and the true meaning of family will be tested like never before.”
