Again the dc universe surprises us, and that’s it, this time it’s about to get a whole lot more terrifying. Today at the ComicsPRO convention, DC officially announced Knight Terrors a new event that will impact the publisher’s comics later this summer.

This is a main mini-series, which officially begins in July, will be written by Joshua Williamson, with works by Howard Porter, Guillem March and many more. Several additional two-issue miniseries from currently unknown creative teams will be announced at a later date, each featuring a DC Superhero or Super-Villain facing their worst nightmares in a “Nightmare Kingdom”.

Now the best thing will be for the superheroes to be careful because whatever happens to them in the kingdom of nightmares this will also be reflected in the waking world. In Knight Terrors, Batman, Superman there wonder woman they find the body of one of their first enemies in the Hall of Justice.

Their investigation takes them beyond the land of the living, beyond the land of the dead, into a realm of nightmares. The only way to save the world is to enlist the help of an unlikely hero, Deadman.

“I love horror comics, and it was great to bring energy to Dawn of DC. Knight Terrors shows the terrifying side of our heroes as a new villain confronts them with their worst nightmares” , Williamson said in a statement. “It’s a fun and horrifying event that brings together all of DC’s heroes and villains, plus a few surprises!”

To kick off Knight Terrors, DC is releasing a free special Comic Book Day edition of DC Knight’s Dawn of Terrors May 6. After a long night fighting crime with his father, Batman, Damien Wayne sleep. But horrors invade his teenage dreams.

Damian has seen a lot, but there is something different about this nightmare. In this book, Williamson and Porter will be joined by legendary entertainer Chris Bachalo, who returns to DC for the first time in over 20 years – quite an event!
