Ciara paid tribute to Russell Wilson in the look she wore to the 2021 Met Gala. She even wore the Super Bowl ring that her husband won with the Seahawks.

After being canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and being postponed from May 2021, the Met Gala finally returned this September 13 to celebrate the best of American fashion.

As usual, in addition to the gala, an exhibition will open at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year, the exhibition will be titled ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ to mark the 75th anniversary of the Costume Institute, as well as exploring the modern vocabulary of American fashion.

The 2021 Met Gala was attended by designer Tom Ford; the director of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, and Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of the US edition of Vogue magazine, who served as the honorary hosts; while Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Naomi Osaka and Amanda Gorman co-hosted the event.

In addition, multiple artists, athletes, celebrities and even influencers walked the red carpet , showing their best and most extravagant looks.

Ciara paid tribute to Russell Wilson in the look with which she walked the red carpet at the Met Gala. The singer arrived at the ceremony wearing the number 3 of her husband’s Seattle Seahawks jersey.

The ‘Level Up’ interpreter wore a neon green sequined long-sleeved designer Peter Dundas dress with cutout details on the side, spectacular shoulder pads and a train, but that was not all, as Ciara completed her sports outfit with the best accessory: the Super Bowl ring that Wilson won in 2014.

Styling-wise, the actress opted to style her hair back into a voluminous low ponytail and added emerald green eyeshadow to complement the look. She also wore a crystal-embellished football-shaped clutch.
