25th anniversary

The 25th anniversary of Pokémon Red & Green will be celebrated in 2021. Therefore, fans expect big announcements for upcoming projects. The first big announcement is that Katy Perry is releasing a song about Pokémon, but fans are also hoping to hear about the games and new Pokémon movie projects.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game was an important part of the franchise from the start and will also celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2021. To mark the occasion, The Pokémon Company has announced that oversized versions of the cards featuring the starter Pokémon from the series will be released year-round.

The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Collector’s Binder will feature the oversized original Pikachu card on which it appears in its chubest form and will be released on February 26th. The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Pack with the cards Chimpep, Hopplo and Memmeon will be released on March 5th.

The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Pack (Alola) with the cards Bauz, Flamiau and Robball will be released on April 2nd. The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Pack (Kalos) with the cards Igamaro, Fynx and Froxy will be released on May 7th.

The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Pack (Unova) with the cards Serpifeu, Floink and Ottaro will be released on June 4th. The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Pack (Sinnoh) with the cards Chelast, Panflam and Plinfa will be released on July 9th. The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Pack (Hoenn) with the cards Geckarbor, Flemmli and Hydropi will be released on August 6th.

The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Pack (Johto) with the cards Endive, Feurigel and Karnimani will be released on September 3rd. The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Pack (Kanto) with the cards Bulbasaur, Charmander and Shiggy will be released on October 8th.

All Pokémon TCG fans started somewhere, and many were drawn to the game by the latest releases in the main series of Pokémon. The Starter Pokémon Cards hold a lot of great memories for fans, and they will soon be able to own them in oversized form.
