Beijing: The Dragon is well aware of Joe Biden’s glamorous victory in the US presidential elections, but is currently avoiding sending a congratulatory message, the dragon China cleared on Monday. Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that the outcome of the election will be determined under US law and procedures and China will follow international rules in expressing its feelings.
China is one of the few major nations that have not yet issued a statement on the elections. Democrat Biden was elected president after several days of counting. However, Trump has not yet accepted defeat and is challenging the counting of votes in many places.
Relations with China President Donald Trump were weighed down by the growing deadlock due to competition over trade, technology and influence in Asia and other parts of the world.
