Priyanka is married to Nick Jonas and, according to an international publication, is finding it difficult to navigate the end of her friends’ marriage because of her closeness to Sophie.
The tumultuous divorce of stars Joe Jonas, from the Jonas Brothers trio, and actress Sophie Turner continues to be the talk of the town. That’s because the break-up is having an impact on another famous name close to the couple: Priyanka Chopra. The actress is married to Nick Jonas, Joe’s brother, but is having difficulty dealing with the situation as she is very close to Sophie.
According to TMZ, Sophie has stopped following Priyanka on Instagram as the actress’s divorce from Joe Jonas progresses. The Game of Thrones star has unfollowed Priyanka since Friday 13th, although it’s not clear exactly when she deleted Nick’s wife.
According to the publication, Priyanka also unfollows Sophie on Instagram, but Sophie still has Joe and Nick on her list of followers, as well as her brother, Kevin, and his wife, Danielle.
The friendship was very deep between Sophie and Priyanka, in fact, Priyanka was a bridesmaid and flower girl at Sophie and Joe’s wedding in Las Vegas in 2019. Priyanka even spoke highly of her connection with Sophie and Danielle, saying over the years that they are her “family by proxy”, as she grew up without a sister.
Joe filed for divorce at the beginning of September and what followed was a tense custody battle for weeks. Sophie even filed a lawsuit against Joe, claiming that he illegally refused to let the children go with her to England.
TMZ reported that the two found common ground earlier this week, striking a deal in the child custody case, showing signs that a final agreement was getting closer. On Wednesday, Joe filed for dismissal of the divorce case in Miami and for a settlement in private.
In addition to accusations surrounding the divorce, the ex-couple is struggling to settle the terms of their separation and details regarding custody of their two daughters, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1. Joe and Sophie met in 2016 and made their marriage official in May 2019.
