It was in one of those presentations where the Mexican singer Jorge Negrete saw her and brought her to Mexico in 1947 to start his shows in Mexico at the El Patio nightclub, where her talent and imposing voice opened the doors to the Film Age of Gold.

She achieved success on the big screen when she starred in the films ‘Calabacitas tender’, ‘Soy charro de levita’ and ‘Don’t defend me compadre’, in which he acted alongside Germán “Tin Tan” Valdés and Silvia Pinal. In addition, she acted alongside great personalities, such as Pedro Infante, Joaquín Pardavé, Luis Aguilar and Arturo de Córdova.

In the nineties, Quintana began to act on television, highlighting the villain she did in ‘La dueña’, starring Angélica Rivera, Francisco Gattorno and Cynthia Klitbo.

Among the recognitions that Rosita received throughout her career, those of the Moscow, Berlin and San Sebastián International Film Festival stand out, as well as the Wurlitzer Prize for best ranchero singer in 1955.
Rest in peace.
