More than a year has passed since the death of Kobe Bryant in the helicopter crash in which his daughter Gianna and the seven other people who were traveling with them on the aircraft also lost their lives, which ended up crashing in a field in Calabasas, California.

The event caused a huge global impact, and many tributes and tributes were dedicated to the former Los Angeles Lakers basketball player in the following months.

But now, American rapper Meek Mill has raised blisters with the lyrics of one of his songs, in which he makes a reference to Bryant that has been labeled offensive and disrespectful.

The theme has not yet been officially launched on the market, but it was leaked on the Internet months ago and has now become the talk of social media as a result of a Twitter account sharing a fragment last night (the publication has already been removed from the platform, but the extract of the song continues on YouTube).

The composition is a collaboration between the artist and Lil Baby, and, apparently, its title is ‘Don´t worry (RIP Kobe)’, although the name is not confirmed yet.

The lyrics are made up of phrases that immediately have outraged fans of the former NBA star, including “And if I ever lack I’m going out with my chopper, it be another Kobe”.

After the avalanche of criticism and calls to ‘cancel’ the rapper, he tried to defend himself by assuring that “someone was trying to promote a narrative and you are all following him.”

The rapper also made it clear that “internet nonsense can’t stop me, this zombieland shit or something.”

Finally, he defined in another tweet the fury of the networks at the time of launching to discredit someone as a product of “mind control”. At the moment, it is unknown when the song will be released, although all this commotion could affect its premiere.
