The 2021 Met Gala is honorably hosted by designer Tom Ford , Instagram editor Adam Mosseri , and Anna Wintour , editor-in-chief of the US edition of Vogue magazine. Co-hosts are Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Naomi Osaka, and Amanda Gorman.

Multiple artists, athletes, celebrities and even influencers have walked the red carpet. However, Nicki Minaj confirmed that she would not attend, since one of the requirements of the gala was vaccination against COVID-19, a condition that the rapper does not meet.
