The #FreeBritney movement seems unstoppable at this point. We tell you everything we know about the project so far.

The phenomenon that has unleashed the documentary ‘Framing Britney Spears’ , produced by The New York Times and broadcast on Hulu in the United States, has exceeded all expectations set by the singer’s fans. Such has been the magnitude of its effect that it even involved Justin Timberlake himself, the artist’s ex-partner who, after breaking up with her 19 years ago, ended up asking her for forgiveness publicly through Instagram. She, for her part, maintains a deathly silence.

Apparently captive in her California mansion, no one knows if the pop princess has taken a look at the format that she now plans to complement with another tough documentary, this time carried out by Netflix. The streaming service has been interested in the #FreeBritney phenomenon and already has director Erin Lee Carr to lead this controversial project about which little is known yet. Of course, according to Bloomberg , this new documentary was already underway before the New York Times tape aired.

Despite the excitement that this new project has raised, an official name has not yet been decided, while according to Bloomberg, all the necessary documentation and pre-production would already take time in progress. What is assumed to be the storyline will also revolve around his fall into hell more than 10 years ago and his current guardianship from which Spears is trying to get rid of in the Los Angeles courts.

We don’t know any more details about the docu yet, but the name being put forward for the direction is Erin Lee Carr , a filmmaker specializing in viral documentaries focusing on criminal and feminist issues. In other words, this new job will suit you perfectly if we take into account the legal and personal situation of the interpreter.
Finally, the release date of this Netflix format is unknown, but we do not believe that it will take long for a trailer or date to come out since the ‘hype’ for the singer is at its highest point. Will we enjoy a documentary tomorrow that addresses Spears’s legal victory and her subsequent freedom? Only time will tell.
