Blake Shelton may need to brush up on his wife Gwen Stefani’s discography.

Shelton, 45, recently appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and filmed a segment where he teamed up with “The Voice” partner Nick Jonas to play Kelly Clarkson and John Legend in a game called “Throw Me a Line.”

For the game, a disembodied voice would say a line from the middle of a popular song and the singers would have to come in and sing the title of the song.

Clarkson and Legend quickly swept Shelton’s team, racking up points for seeing “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston.

The tables seemed to turn when Jonas successfully recognized the Jackson 5’s “ABC” and Shelton correctly named Kenny Loggins’s “Footloose.”

However, the announcer said he would share one more song and began reading the lyrics to “Hollaback Girl” by Shelton’s wife, Stefani.

The country singer was unable to beat Clarkson on the buzzer, allowing the talk show host to win the game when she correctly named the song.

“Hollaback Girl” is possibly one of Stefani’s most famous songs, although the two have mentioned in interviews that they weren’t too familiar with each other’s music before they struck up an affair. Now they have recorded several songs together.

Shelton and Stefani, 51, tied the knot in early July in an intimate ceremony at a church on Shelton’s property.

The couple’s romance began in 2015 while they spent time together working on “The Voice.”

Earlier that year, Shelton separated from his ex-wife, country star Miranda Lambert, while Stefani separated from her own spouse, Bush’s lead singer, Gavin Rossdale.

Lovebirds became a fan favorite couple fairly quickly and were the subject of frequent rumors of secret engagements and even weddings.

However, in October 2020, the duo announced that Shelton had asked the question and Stefani said ‘yes’.
