This collaboration arose after Dua Lipa asked Elton John, via Instagram, to share his experiences at the famous New York club Studio 54, before the singer starred in the Studio 2054 concert last November, with which she presented her latest album “Club Future Nostalgia”.

There “the spark jumped” and the singer even “participated as a guest in the live stream” of Studio 2054, to which Dua Lipa corresponded by performing at the Elton John Academy Awards, dedicated to the fight against AIDS, which raised 3 million dollars.

Despite the restrictions and distances imposed by the coronavirus pandemic, the two have continued to work together to create “new music.”

“The outcome of those sessions certainly lives up to the hype. ‘Cold Heart’ is an instantly recognizable song and, at the same time, thoroughly contemporary, a modern track-packed theme, based on four Elton classics cleverly mixed by the band. Australian electronics band PNAU,” EMI highlighted.

PNAU and Elton John have collaborated in the past, when they reached number one on the UK charts in 2012 with the album “Good Morning to the Night”.

In the note, the British composer acknowledged that “the last 18 months have been hard”, but celebrates that, “by not being on the road” she has had more time to “return” to her roots “as a studio musician” and collaborate “with wonderful artists”.
