He explained to those curious who questioned the peculiar way of painting them: “The dots remind me all the time of the symbolic image of God with his hands dirty with clay, giving me life.”

According to what he commented, along with the announcement of his new album, the songs that make up his fourth album are the product of the change of plans.

Before the declaration of the global health emergency due to the covid-19 pandemic, which forced a large part of the population to stay in their homes and modify their lifestyles to prevent the spread of the disease, Camilo had several projects in his mind that, among other things, included a tour.

The tour had to be postponed, and he had to stay at home with his wife, Evaluna Montaner. According to Camilo, who assures that the best songs he has written in his life were captured in the album, what he wants is for his followers to feel close to him, and for his songs to allow them to travel, even if not literally.

“If everything had gone according to my plans, at this moment I would be in the middle of the Tour, singing face to face with all of you. But the reality is different, travel became impossible, and my need to feel close continued and remains intact.” Camilo wrote.

He also added that, “I’m sure they will travel at the speed I would like to be traveling to hug them.”

The news comes after Camilo’s award-winning night on February 18 at the ‘Premios lo Nuestro’ gala.

After parading through the magenta carpet of those awards to the best of Latin American music, Camilo took home five awards that involved him being the Male Revelation Artist; Pop Artist of the Year; winning the mention of Pop Collaboration of the Year, for “Si me dice que si”, which he performed with Reik and Farruko; have the Pop Album of the Year, with “Por primera vez”, his 2020 production; and take the recognition for Pop Song of the Year with the same collaboration he did with Reik and Farruko.

“I want to thank God first of all for allowing me to be a little reflection of his light, for allowing my songs to be a flag of joy and hope in the moments when they needed it most and I needed it most. To my wife, for patience and for being the focus of inspiration for this album, and the tribe, who are always rowing by my side and letting me into their life. I love them.” Camilo said in one of his five interventions for his recognition.

Although there is no further information on the album, it is presumed that his most recent song, ‘Ropa cara’ will be part of the network of songs that make up ‘Mis manos’, a song that mixed pop, reggaeton, and a small fragment of Cuban son.

As well as ‘BEBÉ’, a bachata that took over Instagram and TikTok, and ‘Vida de rico’, a cumbia published in September 2020.

The announcement also comes months after his collaboration with the Montaner family on the song. ‘Amen’, in which May and Ricky, Evaluna and Ricardo Montaner participated, in addition to directing the video clip at the hands of Marlene, Ricardo’s wife.
