After keeping a low profile for the past year, American actress Amber Heard made her first public appearance at a film event in Italy.
The star, who now resides in Spain to start a new life after the mediatic cross lawsuit against her ex-husband, actor Johnny Depp, was caught smiling and signing autographs at the Taormina Film Festival.
The film, directed by Conor Allyn and titled “In the Fire”, is set in 1988 and follows an American psychiatrist, played by Heard, who is determined to solve the case of a Colombian boy accused by villagers of being the devil.

Last month, Amber Heard, 37, was also spotted in the Iberian country where she lives, taking photos with fans and signing autographs, an instance where the rumor was fueled that the actress had “left Hollywood”, although her participation in future projects clearly remains to be seen.
