A little over a month after the official launch of the song “Sorry BB”, Bad Bunny, Tainy and Julieta Venegas joined forces to sing this new hit together at the 2021 American Music Awards, an event in which, with their costumes, they seem to pay tribute to the popular anime series “Neon Genesis Evangelion”.
The trio dazzled on stage with a futuristic interpretation of this new album, whose video clip already has almost 50 million views on the YouTube platform.
Julieta Venegas did not appear in person at the event, but a robot with a screen showing her face appeared on stage and played the piano instead.
For his part, Bad Bunny appeared inside a spherical platform while wearing a white helmet, which gave him the appearance of a cyclopean (one-eyed) being. This costume resembles that of Evangelion Unit 00 from the anime series “Neon Genesis Evangelion.”
It would not be the first time that Bad Bunny pays tribute to the otaku culture in his songs. This is what happened with “Yonaguni”, which includes an animated sequence and where it says “I become Itachi”; reference to a character from the anime “Naruto”.

The interpreter of “Callaíta” is going through the best moment of his career. Last week it won two Latin Grammy Awards for Best Urban Music Album (“The Last World Tour”) and Best Rap / Hip Hop Song (“Booker T”).
This Sunday he also became the first winner of the night. The Puerto Rican artist and composer took home the AMA in the Favorite Latin Album category for his album “The Last Tour of the World.”
