Businessman and former presidential candidate Andrew Yang faced some criticism on Friday when he suggested that Americans should have a downloadable bar code, which confirms that they have received the coronavirus virus vaccine.

“Is there a way for someone to easily show that they have been vaccinated – like a bar code they can download to their phones?” He asked on Twitter. “There should be.”

He added that this “[t]Large scale adoption of vaccines or without any means of signaling is sufficient for concerts or mass ceremonies such as ballgames. “

Many persecuted Yang in reference to the yellow stars or tattoos that the Jews wore in Germany.

The first dose of the Pfizer and BioNTech coronavirus vaccine was delivered on Monday to health care workers, who are on the front lines in the fight against the epidemic that killed more than 311,000 Americans during March. The vaccine was authorized for emergency use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last week, and the first dose was given to all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
