China TCL has announced a prototype wearable display “TCL Wearable Display” overseas.

The TCL Wearable Display was once being developed as a concept product “Project Archery”. The main unit is equipped with two full HD resolution organic EL displays, providing the wearer with a video experience as if a 140-inch display was installed 4 meters away.

In addition, this product is a display that can be installed by connecting to a PC or smartphone via USB-C and displaying images. By not installing an original OS system or battery, we have realized a slim body design similar to ordinary sunglasses. According to TCL, it is possible to wear it while wearing glasses.

The TCL Wearable Display will be available in the second half of 2021. Although details of the price and launch time have not been announced, it seems to be an interesting product if it is launched at the same affordable price as the company’s smartphone.
