The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has confirmed this Thursday for the first time about 4,000 daily infections by coronavirus, amid a rebound in recent weeks that has left an average of about 3,000 cases a day.
The Emirati Ministry of Health has indicated in its latest balance sheet that during the last 24 hours, 3,966 cases and eight deaths have been confirmed, which puts the totals at 293,052 and 819, respectively.
Likewise, it has pointed out that another 3,294 people have recovered during the last day of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, so this figure rises to 267,024 since the start of the pandemic.
The spike in cases has prompted the Dubai emirate to impose new travel requirements and claim a negative PCR upon arrival at the airport, while also placing restrictions on social gatherings.
