Harold Ramirez doubled in the 11th inning and scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error to help the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Los Angeles Angels 4-3 on Wednesday night.
It was the fifth straight win for the Rays, who came from behind twice in extra innings.
Ramírez scored on a fumble by first baseman Jared Walsh, with one out in the eleventh inning, after the Colombian had hit his double against Panamanian Jaime Barría (2-3).
A Taylor Ward double had driven in automatic runner Shohei Ohtani to put the Angels up 3-2 in the top of the 11th inning.
JT Chargois (1-0) got the win with one inning of relief.
For the Angels, the Venezuelan Luis Rengifo 5-1. The Dominican Magneuris Sierra 1-0.
For the Rays, Cubans Yandy Díaz 4-2, Randy Arozarena 3-1. The Dominicans José Siri 1-0 with two runs scored, Manuel Margot 4-0, Francisco Mejía 4-0 with a run scored. The Colombian Ramírez 5-1 with a run scored and two RBIs. The Venezuelan David Peralta 4-0. The Mexican Isaac Paredes 2-0.
