Ukraine records new Russian attacks at dawn on coastal city of Odessa

According to the journalist in AFP, a series of explosions were heard Sunday morning in Odessa, a coastal city in southwestern Ukraine.

Explosions were felt around 06:00 (local time) and caused at least three plumes of black smoke with visible flames, apparently in the industrial zone of this strategic port on the Black Sea.

A hotel employee in the city center said he heard the plane, but a military man near the site of one of the explosions indicated that it was a missile or missile.

BLOCCADE CONTINUES

Despite the loss of control over areas close to the capital, the Russian naval forces maintain a blockade of the Ukrainian coast in the Black and Azov Seas, not allowing Ukraine to replenish supplies by sea, according to the latest intelligence report from the UK Department of Defense.

Russia still retains the ability to make an amphibious landing, but the operation is likely to be risky due to the time Ukrainian forces have had to prepare, according to a report released this Sunday.

Mines that may be in the Black Sea pose a risk to maritime activities, he adds.
