Former world No. 1 Tennis player Maria Sharapova revealed that she couldn’t hold back her tears after watching the movie ‘CODA‘, which was released last year.
‘CODA‘ went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture at the 94th Academy Awards which took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles a few days ago.
“Also watched this on Sunday and cried the entire morning,” Sharapova wrote on Instagram.
“Happy tears to a beautiful story.”
The other movies which were nominated for the Best Picture prize were ‘Belfast’, ‘Don’t Look Up’, ‘Drive My Car’, ‘Dune’, ‘King Richard’, ‘Licorice Pizza’, ‘Nightmare Alley’, ‘The Power of the Dog’, and ‘West Side Story’.
Meanwhile, Will Smith won the Best Actor award for his role in the movie ‘King Richard‘, which outlines the story the father of two tennis players, Venus and Serena Williams, and how he shaped the girls’ character and commitment.
