The Embassy of Kuwait in the United Kingdom has called on its citizens to leave the country due to the increase in cases of the omicron variant of the coronavirus.
“The Embassy recommends Kuwaiti citizens who are in the United Kingdom to return home as a result of the sharp acceleration in daily omicron infections that could lead to partial or total confinement,” reported the official Kuwaiti news agency, KUNA.
Furthermore, the Embassy reminds its fellow citizens that they must comply with the recommendations of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs and “postpone coming to the United Kingdom”.
England reported 162,572 PCR positives in 24 hours on Saturday, a new daily record for infections. In addition, the number of hospital admissions is at its highest in the last year and the loss of health personnel is double than a month ago.
