In early April, Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder also expressed the Land’s interest in purchasing the Sputnik V vaccine.
According to Söder, there has been a “pre-negotiation” with the Russian authorities to receive 2.5 million doses of the Russian vaccine once it receives the go-ahead from the EMA.
The Russian Direct Investment Fund (FIDR) announced in April that it had opened negotiations with Germany for the sale of doses of the Sputnik V vaccine.
