Call of Duty: Warzone has problems with its weapons. This has not been a secret for a long time, the community has been complaining about far too strong creaking for months: Just think of the AUG, FFAR 1 or the latest super weapon, the M16 rifle.
But in season 3 it should finally get better thanks to nerfs. The developers reveal this a few days before the update in short but very informative patch notes. What exactly was announced in it?
These weapons will be redesigned in Season 3
Developer Raven Software reacted to the well-known streamer on Twitter Jack CouRage Dunlop calling for a long list of changes. The official answer is:

The developer promises the following adjustments to Warzone:
- An adaptation by the controversial operator Roze, which is sometimes extremely difficult to see
- A significant balance adjustment for weapons like that Tac Rifle Charlie, the M16 rifle, the FACT 1 and the new ones Sykov Pistols.
- A fix for perks from Modern Warfare and for the (missing) flashing of snipers
- A killstreak, namely the remote-controlled explosives car RC-XD, you will receive differently in the future
Raven Software also writes:
“We have a lot more planned, including a few big surprises next week, but if you want to keep talking about something in particular, write us in private.”
Exact release dates and details for these changes have not been announced, but some will likely come with the big season update. The mentioned surprises could be the leaked new Verdansk map, which should appear with Season 3.
What does that mean in concrete terms? Raven Software is apparently very aware of the ongoing criticism from gamers. Season 3 is supposed to be the first step in a better direction: The weapons mentioned have been causing trouble for a long time because they are far superior to most of the others. They ensure an extremely low time-to-kill, which is a deterrent for many. So, fair nerfs would surely welcome most players.
The fact that such announcements about the weapon balance will be published before the start of the season is hopefully a good sign for the future. So far, communication between publisher Activision, developers and the community has often left a lot to be desired.
