Regarding the number of cases that are still active, they represent 9.84 percent of the cases, with 1,365,704 patients still suffering from the disease, compared to 12,336,030 who have already recovered.
India, which once had one of the world’s recovery rates, now has an 88.92 percent recovery rate, considerably lower than it was a few weeks ago.
In the country, 111,179,578 vaccines against the coronavirus have already been administered.
In the state of Maharashtra, the most affected by the pandemic, Prime Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced new restrictions to face this second wave that hits the Asian country.
