Officialized during BlizzConline, Diablo 2 Resurrected should reach us by the end of the year on consoles and PC. Upon the announcement, Blizzard opened a dedicated page, allowing players to sign up for a closed alpha.
In a statement addressed to our colleagues from PCGames by Chris Lena, producer, Blizzard indicates that the first alpha, which has not yet been dated, will focus on the solo part of Diablo II: Resurrected.
However, and this is a novelty, he declares that a second alpha phase is planned, and that it will orient itself towards multiplayer aspects of the game:
We’re going to start with a solo technical alpha, then we’ll have a second technical alpha, which will be kind of multiplayer and stress testing. But that’s all we have (to say for now).
Allowing players to discover or rediscover this classic Hack’n Slash released on PC in 2000. As a reminder, Diablo II Resurrected will contain the base game, its Lord of Destruction extension, up to 4K resolution, 3D assets, and will offer Dolby Surrond 7 sound.
Registering for the closed beta, does not however guarantee obtaining access.
