Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sánchez just gave a big gift to help families in Florida. They donated $5 million to the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami. The money will go to a new health center in the Palm Beach Gardens area, set to open in 2027.

This is one of the largest single gifts the hospital has ever received. The new center will be called the Bezos Sánchez Family Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion. It will give kids in northern Palm Beach County and Martin County better access to top doctors without long trips to Miami. Families there often wait months for appointments, and this will change that.

Lauren Sánchez grew up in the area and said, “I know how hard it is for families here to get good care for their kids. This gift is close to my heart.” Bezos added that they want every child to have great healthcare no matter where they live.

The couple has been giving away big amounts lately. Last month they promised $1 billion to help the environment and another $100 million for wildfire recovery in Los Angeles. Their total giving this year is already over $1.2 billion.

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital thanked them warmly. “This will help thousands of kids get the care they need right in their own community,” a spokesperson said.

A sweet move from the Amazon founder and his partner—showing that even billionaires want to make life better for local families. ❤️
