Fast-growing platform Bluesky, which is already approaching 10 million users, is coming up with another major feature that will allow sharing of short videos up to 60 seconds in length. The change comes as another step in the competitive battle between platforms trying to attract as many users as possible through constant innovation.
Video posts will automatically play, but each user has the option to turn off the feature. In the beginning, users will be limited to 25 videos per day, which corresponds to a capacity of 10 GB. Limits may be adjusted in the future as needed.
Users can mark their videos as inappropriate for younger audiences to be automatically filtered out for those who do not want to see similar content. The platform has reportedly partnered with Hive and Thorn to help eliminate harmful or illegal content.
Videos that violate community rules may be reported and subsequently deleted. If a user repeatedly breaks the rules, they may lose the ability to upload more content.
