U.S. President Joe Biden won the North Dakota Democratic primary.
The state branch of the party announced Saturday the results of the election, in which most of the electorate voted by mail. The party began delivering ballots in February to voters who requested them.
Biden’s victory was virtually assured, although there were seven other candidates on the ballot.
Former President Donald Trump won the North Dakota GOP caucuses on March 4, taking all 29 delegates.
Biden and Trump have already secured enough delegates to win their parties’ nominations for what will be the first rematch in a presidential election since 1956.
Sen. Bernie Sanders won the Democratic caucuses in North Dakota in 2016 and 2020.
