Kai (Keanu Reeves, ‘The Matrix’) is an outcast who teams up with the leader of the 47 Ronin, 47 masterless warriors who had to become outsiders after their lord was forced to commit sepukku (samurai-style suicide), Oishi (Hiroyuki Sanada, ‘Twilight of the Samurai’). Netflix in the streaming war

Netflix has become the most important streaming platform in recent years and its success has led most entertainment companies to launch their own platforms, as is the case of Disney+ and HBO, among others.

Although it began as a company that offered DVD rental service through the mail, it was in 2011 when the company started operations outside the United States and Canada, offering its catalog via streaming in Latin America and the Caribbean. A year later it would also reach some European countries and later Asia.

In 2011 the company ventured into the production of its own content, which began with the successful series House of Cards, which led it to create its own studio in 2016. By 2018, it would be defined as a global internet television network.

Previously, on January 16, 2014, Netflix had one of the most important moments: being nominated for the first time in its history for an Oscar Award with the documentary The Square.

Its catalog includes films that have won an Academy Award, multi-awarded and viral series such as Squid Game, or important Spanish-language products such as La casa de papel and Élite.

However, 2022 did not look good for the streaming content platform, which received its biggest blow in a decade, losing up to 200 thousand subscribers in the first quarter, in addition to the 900 thousand viewers who also abandoned the platform in the second quarter of the year.

That small setback was “fixed” in the third quarter, when a gain of 2.4 million subscribers was recorded, boosted by titles like Dahmer, a new season of Stranger Things and other hits.

How to throw a Netflix party or Teleparty?

Netflix Party, also known as Teleparty, has become one of the most popular applications that has given a plus to the streaming platform, as it has allowed users to watch the same content at the same time with friends, partners or family even if they are not in the same space.

Created as an extension of Google, this tool mixes the ability to stream simultaneously with a text message tray where participants can exchange their thoughts in real time.

Although this tool has not been developed as such by Netflix, it is enough to enter the Teleparty page and install the Google Chrome extension. Once installed, open the account, play what you want to watch and click on the Netflix Party (NP) icon that will turn red and then give the “start party” option that will provide a link that can be shared with more people to join.
