The esports industry is a very volatile space, and has been for a long time. It’s incredibly common to see organizations and teams fail, be acquired, or merge, and for Version 1, Minnesota’s parent company Rokkr, the latter could be on the table.
As reported by Minnesota’s FOX9, Version 1 would explore options to merge with another esports organization regarding the company’s future. It’s unclear who version 1 will merge with, but it will affect all of the company’s teams, be it Rokkr and its Rocket League and Valorant rosters.
While this merger is under consideration, it was added that the owners, the Wilf family, are looking to stay connected to version 1 in the future as they wish to continue to maintain and operate in the industry of esports in the future.
