Tekken 8, the long-awaited future installment of one of the most influential fighting games of all time, will have cross-play between its confirmed platforms (PS5, Xbox Series, and PC).
This has been confirmed by the director of the series and of this eighth opus, Katsuhiro Haradawhile answering questions from fans via Twitter.
“Crossplay? Of course I do.
When the previous generation consoles were released, it already offered cross-play between the two platforms. However, at the time, they disagreed over each other’s interests (and the issue of P2P security) and repeatedly refused.”
Although he confirmed it, he qualified that they are still having problems implementing this function so requested by all. For now, the most important thing is that they announce the full roster (we already have a lot of characters confirmed) and confirm the release date.
