The one we often talk about Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake by Konami is said to have a 2024 release date. That’s according to Andy Robinson, the owner and publisher of Video Game Chronicles, answering a question from a fan who wanted to know if Konami would still hold some sort of MGS event even though the E3 2023 is over. Cancel. Robinson previously said in a podcast in February that Konami intended to announce both this new version of MGS3 and a new Castlevania game at E3 2023.
The MGS3 remake is now a 2024 title and there is still talk of MGS re-releases of sorts. The E3 window was their marketing plan, last I heard of it. https://t.co/Euaw3iEdrN

Moreover, through a peep Shared today, Robinson says there are “still talks” from Konami that they intend to have some kind of MGS relaunch. All of these Metal Gear Solid announcements were meant to coincide with a marketing plan focused on E3 2023.
Fears that Konami won’t announce the MGS3 remake, which could be led by Chinese developer Virtuos, at E3 2023 as planned stem from news that Ubisoft has canceled its E3 appearance. This led Robinson to postulate that E3 could be “cancelled this week”, which would rule out many of the plans that many assistant developers have already come up with.
In any case, he believes that Konami will be fine despite everything and that an event will probably be “appear somewhere.” It could be a physical event and/or a digital event similar to the Silent Hill digital showcase held in October 2022.
