The actor Jonathan Majors (Ant-Man, Creed III) was arrested on Saturday evening, although he was released the same evening. The American is accused of assaulting and harassing a woman who many media define as his companion (although their relationship is not yet confirmed). The majors are due to testify in Manhattan court in May.
As reported by Entertainment Portal TMZ, the Marvel actor was in a taxiaccompanied by his girlfriend, when they returned home after spending part of the night in a bar in the Brooklyn neighborhood.
It was in the same vehicle that, according to the statements of the complainant, Majors and she started arguing. Apparently, the woman found out the actor was texting another woman, and when the confrontation started, he “went crazy.”
Accused of strangulation, assault and harassment
Still in agreement with the complainant’s testimony, the interpreter he “slapped” her and put his hands on his neck and, after that, Majors continued the night “elsewhere” and left his future partner alone on the street.
The next morning, the alleged victim filed a complaint at the police station and Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York last weekend. the actor is accused of strangulation, assault and harassment of the woman.
The complainant had ‘visible damage’ to her bodylike a laceration behind the ear and marks on the face. Despite his arrest, Majors was released hours later and is due in court in May.
For its part, the defense of the actor assured that Majors “he did nothing wrong”. “We hope to clear his name and clarify that,” he said.
