As head coach he took his first steps in Universidad de Chile and Defensa y Justicia, to return in 2017 as Sampaoli’s assistant in the Argentina National Team, which was eliminated in the round of 16 of the 2018 World Cup. In that period he took charge of the Albiceleste U20.
