Orlando Florida. – For the first time since his death, Tire Sampson’s mother, Nekia Dodd, will visit the Freefall Ride site this Wednesday.
Dodd will be in Orlando to visit the site where his son died.
Sampson, 14, died after slipping from his seat while riding the Orlando Freefall attraction at ICON Park on March 24, 2022. Dodd had never visited the site before. His visit takes place when the ride is dismantled and almost a year after the day of his death.
Nekia will be accompanied by her lawyers Michael Haggard and Kimberly Wald of the Haggard law firm.
Among the topics of discussion will be the Tire Sampson Bill which continues to pass through the Florida Legislature.
Haggard was on Capitol Hill to testify in favor of parts of the bill and new amendments, including a seat belt and harness requirement for any trip over 100 feet.
