Sofia Carson in the list of best dressed at the Oscars gala

The 2023 Oscars took place on Sunday, March 12 at the iconic Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, United States. The ceremony brought together great talents from the film industry and, there, Colombia was present with a young star who appears on the screens, gaining recognition in different productions such as Disney Descendants and now with the movie Say it like a woman.

The young woman of Barranquillera origin, looked radiant and with an elegance that only Barranquilleras could wear on a red carpet, in an elegant white dress entirely made to measure by the Italian designer Giambattista Valli, which, to the visual perception of the spectators, would seem to be two rooms, but it was not like that.

At the top, there was a cross on her shoulders which, crossing her back and joining the tight bodice on her torso, gave the shape of an inverted diamond. A balloon skirt came loose from her hip, allowing the young woman to look like a queen on the catwalk, but one detail in particular caught the eye during her first appearance in front of the cameras during the gala entrance .

This cut of the elegant dress made it possible to expose the pencil neck of the actress with her shoulders and on top of this the young woman decided to wear around her an expensive necklace of emeralds covered with small diamonds. The jewel weighed 122.9 carats of emeralds and 92.57 carats of diamonds, belonging to the Chopard house.

Social media went wild when the talented actress appeared on the red carpet with the exquisite piece of emeralds and diamonds on her neck, because with it they confirmed that she was paying a heartfelt tribute to the land of her mother, the former Carnival Queen of Barranquilla, Laura Charles.
