The situation in the department of Cordoba and Bajo Cauca Antioqueño This continues to be serious, given the actions of part of the population during the so-called miners’ strike. The authorities have tried to intervene in a timely manner, however, in addition to this is the extraordinary visit of the President Gustavo Petro to the area, who ensured that he came to face the situation and send directives corresponding to the decisions to be made.
The president arrived at the municipality of Montelibano, Cordoba with part of the military leadership, according to the president through the security Council taking place in this region, aims to assess the whole context generated by this social problem, and based on this study, various actions will be taken.
“I chair the Security Council of Montelíbano, Córdoba, we are evaluating what has been done to liberate the mining town and we are organizing the actions to be taken,” the president said. Likewise, in Antioquia, progress is being made in clearing the roads, as explained by the Director of the National Police, General Henry Armando Sanabria Celywho held:

For his part, he Defense Minister, Ivan Velázquez Gomez He stressed: “The National Police and the Army are making progress with the unblocking of the last sector affected in the municipality of Cáceres. Fortunately, the majority of the population has understood that the blockages affect not only their mobility but also their living conditions, limited by the shortage”.
However, despite the intervention of the authorities in the region, the tension persists, although the main idea of the national government and local entities is to allow normal mobility on the roads, since not only the inhabitants have been affected, but also the inhabitants of other regions due to the impossibility of the arrival of vital supplies.
Likewise, the governor of Antioquia, Aníbal Gaviria, assured that, hand in hand with the competent bodies, the respective outpost is underway in the Bajo Cauca, where several decisions have been made and roadmaps applied to act in favor of the population.
“We remain attentive to the situation in the Bajo Cauca. Together with our entire government team, we have analyzed the events of the past few hours and defined routes to provide comprehensive support to the communities affected by the violent strike. UNITED for ours”.

The Governor of Antioquia pointed out: “Given the operation and the presence of the State in the Bajo Cauca, criminals have burned two ambulances this evening. As a society, we must strongly reject, UNITED, this very serious and cowardly attack on the Medical Mission that serves our people so much. THAT’S ENOUGH!”.
Faced with this serious situation, President Gustavo Petro added:
“These young people have not received a study and therefore do not even know that they have become human rights violators. Do not care. They received money from the gulf clan to do harm and make this violence look like a social strike. They hurt their own people and their families.
