Sons of the Forest has received its first major update. Added, among other things, a fight with a new mini-boss and some items.
Early access survival game Sons of the Forest, a sequel to the popular The Forest, proved to be a huge success: within 24 hours of its release, the game sold over 2 million copies . Despite the warm reception (83% of reviews on Steam are positive), the bugs present in the game from the start worry players. The update fixes a bunch of bugs., including bugs related to the behavior of AI characters: Kelvin will no longer sabotage buildings when chopping down the trees they are placed in, and Virginia will no longer loot ammo when returning the weapon. Some graphical and sound issues have also been fixed.
However, the most interesting is the additional content who introduced the patch. The list includes:
- a new mini-boss fight;
- prismatic;
- lower delta;
- the defensive wall gate;
- a structure that fills the space between the beams;
- plot-related elements;
- additional death animations of cannibals when hit in the head;
- The new ability of cannibals: they can attack the player after jumping from a tree.
