He Government of Mexico and the United States agreed to conduct a bi-national campaign “coming soon” to prevent the consumption of fentanylwhich kills tens of thousands on American soil.
The news was released after a meeting between the Presidential National Security Advisor of the United States, Elizabeth Sherwood Randalland the Secretary of Foreign Relations of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard.
Fentanyl is an opiate 50 times more potent than heroin and has caused the death of 70,000 people in the United States in 2022 alone. Its production and trafficking is controlled by Mexican cartels with chemical precursors from China.
