Gustavo Posse has submitted the signatures of more than 28,000 affiliates who support his request to complete an internship in the province of Buenos Aires

Gustavo Posse appeared this Thursday at the UCR Committee of Buenos Aires, located in the city of La Plata, to deliver a petition in which he claims the realization of an internal party that serves to define a single candidate for governor of the centenary party. His opponents would be Abbot Maximilian there martin tetazwhich are referenced at the national level with Facundo Manes there Martin Lousteaurespectively.

As detailed at GlobeLiveMedia, the presentation made by Posse has the signature of more than 28,000 affiliates. There, the mayor of San Isidro clarified that his request does not represent “a challenge” but a “sign of magnitude, to have a competitive ballot which gives hope to the inhabitants of Buenos Aires”.

“We must choose those who best represent us, without selfishness or pettiness. The extension of the territory requires a great militant deployment and this party has it. I want a broad and powerful radicalism that satisfies demands and provides solutions for every sector of society,” he explained.

Accompanied by the provincial deputy Walter Carusso; former provincial senator Roberto Costa; the lawyer Mauricio D’Alessandro; leaders of the UCR of the province of Buenos Aires; and other affiliates, Posse left a message to his co-religionists: “We need to get out there and strengthen the political center that we represent. And “political center” is not neutrality or lukewarmness, it is balance and moderation in the development of proposals and in the methods of party construction”.

As this medium may have learned, Posse’s proposal has the support of Gerard Morales, president of the national committee. In the environment of the governor of Jujuy, they remember that the same idea had been approached in Manes, with the aim of achieving a single presidential candidate from the UCR who has the authorization of the centenary party to fight for leadership in the together for change.

On this occasion, the neurologist rejected the proposal because he considered that the different sectors of radicalism would not respond organically and could even agree on other candidacies and alliances with the PRO. Another decisive element is the possibility that the same “empowered” candidate is willing – even forced – to integrate a cross-formula with his partners from Ensemble pour lechange. “I’m going strong for the presidency,” explained the neurologist then.

It’s not the first time that Morales has come close to Posse in the electoral process. A few weeks ago, he inaugurated a campaign committee for his presidential candidacy, based in the province of Buenos Aires.

“An internal election does not make sense because there is no participation fury from the people to settle this issue,” they replied. GlobeLiveMedia in the Tetaz team. The Evolution economist argues that nominations should be settled by a consensus poll that defines who is the most competitive leader.

In addition to Tetaz, Abad is another of the names that ring for the government of Buenos Aires. Ariel Bordaiscoone of the legislators close to the president of the Provincial Committee, expressed himself on his social networks: “The proposal for a radical internship in the provinces proposed by Posse comes up against two arguments which explain why this cannot be done: a legal (the PASS as the only mechanism for ordering candidacies) and the other political (the rules are not changed with each election)”.

“The law establishes that PASO regulates the candidates, as was the case in 2021 with Manes-Santilli, for example. At that time, Posse, because he had lost the internal party with Abad, went to PASO to support the non-radical candidate. So can we guarantee that he wouldn’t do the same now?” he concluded.
