Ligue 1 2023 started with many inconveniences. The first two dates were not played, due to the situation in the country. In addition, after several days, matches began to be suspended due to lack of guarantees for their television broadcast. In a statement, the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) has announced that there will be changes in the regulations regarding this issue.
“After the exceptional situations that have arisen in recent weeks, which have interrupted the programming and retransmission of certain matches and which have jeopardized the normal running of the tournament, the FPF Competitions Department, drew up a report in this regard and forwarded it to the FPF Competitions Organizing Committee“, we read in the press release.
“In view of this, The said commission proposed as a solution to the problem mentioned, the modification of the Regulations of Ligue 1, 2023 edition, which was reviewed and discussed at a regular meeting of the FPF Board of Directors; approving the proposed amendment to Articles 158 and 171 of the Ligue 1 Regulations, 2023 edition, concerning the obligations of clubs playing on premises to allow entry of the mobile unit and cameras of the broadcaster authorized by the FPF for the transmission of the match,” he said.
“It is important to stress that, according to the current status of the FPF, theThe Board of Directors has the power to make changes to the rules of competitions organized by the FPFincluding Ligue 1″, he said.
“In the same way, In previous years, similar modifications have already been approved after the start of the tournament for exceptional problems.a situation that is also allowed under the current tournament regulations,” he said.
“From the LF we emphasize that The changes to the regulations in force are only intended to preserve the integrity of all players and to guarantee the continuity of Ligue 1.2023 edition, without it continuing to be affected by decisions unrelated to the sporting aspect and the interests of third parties who seek only personal gain, a situation that harms the participating clubs, their sponsors and, above all, to all their supporters,” he concluded.
There FPF Board of Directors I am modifying article 158 of the regulations which corresponds to the press and media section. The adjustment they made concerns the impediment, by the local team, of the media authorized by the highest entity of Peruvian football to broadcast the match.
“It is forbidden to play in the stadium where the match was scheduled. If the local club refuses to comply with the provisions of the preceding paragraphs, before the start of the match, the competent authority (match delegate, Professional Football League and/or FPF) will cancel the match schedule. In this case, the La Liga de Fútbol Profesional will schedule said match at a new date, time and venue, the same one that will be played behind closed doors (without an audience) under the organization of the FPF, on neutral ground (a place other than the main or alternative stadium of the local disabled club)”, they argued.
In the event that the infraction occurs after the match has started, the commitment delegate will suspend it and communicate the decision to the referees, the club representatives and the National Police. The match will take place on another day and in a neutral stadium without public participation. Moreover, it will resume in the minute it stopped with the score of that moment.
Finally, in all cases, the local team will have to bear the costs of organizing the rescheduling of matches. Likewise, he will also be responsible for the transport and accommodation of the visitor. You will also receive a fine as set out in Section 171.
