‘Haunted Mansion’: Watch the first trailer for the new movie starring Owen Wilson and other Hollywood stars

Disney has released the trailer for Haunted house (Haunted house), the spooky fantasy film based on its theme park attraction. Directed by Justin Simien from a screenplay by Katie Dippold, DV DeVicentis and Guillermo del Toro, it hits theaters on July 28.

Simien loads the cast consisting of LaKeith Stanfield (runs away ! ; Between knives and secrets), Tiffany Haddish (The card counter; The weight of talent), Owen Wilson (Marry me; offline learners), Danny DeVito (Matilda), Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka; The Mandalorian), Chase W. Dillon and Dan Levy, with Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything everywhere at the same time) and Jared Leto.

Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, enchanted mansion tells the story of a woman and her son who recruit a motley crew of spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural occupants.

In the official preview, Dawson’s character is seen welcoming his son (Dillon) home, letting him know he’s aware the place isn’t as warm as a child expects. . “But you’ll see that a vanilla candle can make all the difference,” he tells her. However, nothing they say seems to convince the child, because he is too scared in this dark and dusty mansion where unpleasant things are seen and heard; including ghosts. Finally, the mother decides to leave because things did not go as she thought. That’s why he asks for help to clean up and recover his house.

Some time ago at Comic-Con, the director in charge presented the project to the world, giving a fuller picture of the original trailer, around the story that debuted at Disneyland (in 1969), featuring characters such as Madame Leota, the Skeleton Bride, and Hooded Hatbox Ghost, among others. On the other hand, Eddie Murphy starred in one of the best-known film versions, starting in 2003.

“For me, there was something about that attraction that I felt in the (new) script,” Simien said, revealing it was his favorite. He then went on to say, “It was fun and full of interesting characters, but with a dark twist.”
