We’ve all thought about what we want to happen to us when we die. Traditional burial, cremation, there are a variety of options, but now US-based Recompose is looking to add another option to the fray.

The company literally lets you compost when you die, so you can give back to Mother Earth by helping the next yield of crops and plants grow. The process, as The Independent reports, is said to have far less impact on the environment than the more common methods used today, and avoids the emissions and carbon footprint created by making a coffin, a tombstone, etc.

According to the report, the Recompose process has already seen around 200 people sign up, and of those who have signed up for the process, 25% are under the age of 49 and have paid in advance to be Recompose.

Todavía hay algunos obstáculos que superar, en gran parte en torno a las leyes donde se sparcir el compost humano, que actualmente siguen las leyes de la dispersión de ashes, pero sin duda si este process despega y se vuelve más común, veremos algunos cambios here.
