Under the command of Elon Musk, Tesla manufactures and markets vehicles, as well as components and batteries for other manufacturers such as the Toyota group. It develops induction motors creating compact systems with fewer moving parts than a conventional heat engine.

The company has Own patents for its manufacturewhich have been made public since 2014. The first prototypes were presented to the public in 2006. Between 2008 and 2012, the company put more than 2,000 units into circulation worldwide.

Among the most prominent features that You’re here they meet:

Wireless or OTA (Over The Air) updates are something conventional brands are starting to offer, but in what You’re here is a pioneer. They can remotely update all control units in the car to fix faults, improve functions, add new features and absolutely free.

With the Tesla version of the Model 3, an upgrade increased peak power by 5%.

Function Automatic pilot It only regulates the speed and keeps the car in the lane, but it works much better than systems from other manufacturers. In the United States, the role Browse on Autopilot is already able to change lanes autonomously to deviate from a highway by following a route previously programmed in the navigator. It is expected that in a future update it will be able to detect traffic lights and warn if we are going to skip one.

the autopilot Tesla’s most sophisticated uses eight cameras to capture images of everything happening around the car which are processed in an artificial vision system. Currently, Teslas are the only cars aware of their environment. The idea is that a Tesla bought today can operate autonomously in the future.

Tesla’s fast charger network lets you travel across much of Europe. In them, a Model 3 charges to 80% in 25 minutes. In other words, the car gains autonomy at a rate of 720 km/h.

The Panasonic cells that Tesla uses in its batteries offer more energy density than those of other manufacturers, which translates into batteries with the best energy-to-weight ratio on the market -166 Wh/kg, 50% more than that of a Hyundai Ioniq EV – which makes it possible to build larger capacity and lighter batteries. In addition, its degradation is very slow, losing about 7% of capacity over the first 250,000 km.

The use of silicon carbide chips improves the efficiency of the inverter, which is the device that powers the electric motors from the battery. The Model 3 uses this technology, hitherto reserved for competition models, such as the single-seaters of the Formula E.

It serves to control everything. although that’s not a problem as it has better resolution and response time than any screen ever fitted in a car. Therefore, everything is simple and instantaneous. When a touch system works this well, you find that the buttons aren’t that important.
