One of the most critical aspects of Valheim is survival, which means players must hunt for food and resources to stay alive. Luckily, there are plenty of dishes available in the game, giving players different benefits when eaten. Additionally, some dishes are nearly mastered and can be a major advantage in anyone’s journey through the game. One such dish is the Meat Platter, which grants the second max health boost (80) just behind Misthare Supreme. Naturally, most players will be looking to cook a platter of meat and use it in their adventures. That’s why we’ve put together a guide that explains how to get a meat dish in Valheim.

Before you can get the meat dish in Valheim, you need to get an uncooked version. To craft it, you need Seeker Meat x1, Lox Meat x1, and Hare Meat x1. You will be able to find Hares in the new Mistlands biome, but keep in mind that these are passive creatures that will flee when they find you. You will also find Seekers and Seeker Soldiers in the same area, which drop Seeker Meat. Unlike hares, however, seekers and seeker soldiers are aggressive creatures that can be difficult to take down. Finally, the Loxs can be found in the Plain biome, and again, they are difficult to defeat.
Once you have the necessary ingredients, head to a level 5 cauldron and mix the ingredients for an uncooked meat dish. Finally, place the raw meat tray in a stone oven, which will produce the meat tray. As mentioned above, Meat Platter replenishes 80 health and 26 stamina, so it’s best to keep some in your inventory for extreme situations.
