A survey of the number of cheaters in Escape from Tarkov leads to assert that in 60% of games, if not more, there are cheaters. At this point, almost every Escape From Tarkov player has had experience with a cheater in the game.

Although he might have been an obvious cheater, flying through the air or invincible to attacks, or maybe he was just a suspect. An Escape from Tarkov fan got fed up and decided to investigate the extent of the cheating.

Before talking about the results of the survey, it should be clarified that Escape from Tarkov has several methods to avoid the use of hacks. Developer Battlestate Games claims to ban thousands of cheaters every day.

Also, even if players encounter cheaters in Escape from Tarkov, it does not mean that the system does not follow them. Punishment usually does not occur the moment cheating is recognized, so it is less obvious how it is detected.

Now, YouTuber g0at is the Escape from Tarkov player who decided to test the glitch out for himself. Obviously, g0at is not an Escape from Tarkov developer and does not have administrative access to tools that might help him track down cheaters. Instead, he opted to use cheat tools himself that showed opponents’ locations through walls to try and catch other cheaters.

It might sound counter-intuitive, but he’s had incredible success using what g0at called “The Wiggle”. He would approach suspected cheaters, waddle his character, and very often the cheaters would waddle back.
