In the Argentina tournament – First National Championship 2023, Alvarado drew 1-1 with Gymnastics at the World Cup in Mar del Plata for the 4th matchday of Zone A.
The hosts took the lead with a goal from José Luis Fernández in the 20th minute of the first half, but the visitors equalized through Santiago López García 19 minutes later.
Santiago López García put in a great performance, scoring Gymnastics’ only goal, while José Luis Fernández also performed well, scoring Alvarado’s goal.
The match had several yellow card warnings for Santiago López García, Alan Robledo, Matías Nouet, and Guido Vadalá.
Alvarado’s coach César Vigevani set up a 4-4-2 tactical arrangement with Juan Manuel Lungarzo in goal, Mariano Bettini, Alan Robledo, Agustin Irazoque, and Luis Olivera in defense, Gonzalo Lamardo, Julián Vitale, José Luis Fernández, and Guido Vadalá in midfield, and Mariano Barbieri and Mauro Albertengo in attack.
Meanwhile, Joaquín Sastre’s side played with a 4-4-2 tactical arrangement with Brian Olivera in goal, Facundo Nadalín, Benjamin Ortíz, Maximiliano Padilla, and Fernando Bersano in defense, Santiago López García, Lucas Villarruel, Rodrigo Castro, and Robertino Seratto in midfield, and Tadeo Marchiori and Joan Juncos in attack.
Sebastián Martínez was the chosen referee for the World Cup match in Mar del Plata.
On the next matchday, Alvarado will visit the board and Gymnastics will play away.
